Description
Design, create, and execute automated test scripts for White Rock Telecommunications
equipment. Job entails analyzing and writing automated Perl scripts from manual test cases, creating interface libraries to test equipment, and designing and creating tools to aid the test organization. Candidate should have strong programming skills, be able to handle sockets (Telnet, FTP), objects, and data structures. Knowledge of TL1 specification/syntax is helpful. Prior software testing experience preferred. Knowledge of SDH/SONET and Ethernet hardware/software integration is a plus. Preferred Experience:
1 Previous telecommunications equipment testing experience
2 Strong knowledge of the Perl or other programming language
3 Understanding of sockets, objects, libraries, and data structures
4 Experience with TL1/CLI specifications/syntax
5 Knowledge in Tcl and Tk helpful
6 Telecom protocol knowledge in MLPPP, Frame Relay, Qos, VLAN, E3, DS3, E1, T1, Ethernet
7 Working experience with Smartbits, Adtech, Agilent, and HP Omniber test sets
8 Able to work in a fast paced and team environment
9 Must have better than average English verbal and written skills
