Lithium Technologies, a leader in on-demand community and social-networking software for enterprise customers, is seeking two senior Web user interface engineers to help found its development operations in China . Lithium is a private company based in Emeryville , California , USA , whose customers include Dell, Sony, Univision, and Nokia.
Senior Web user interface engineers will work on user interface components of Lithium's community and social-networking products. Specific responsibilities will include:
1、 Developing clean, browser-independent, fast and maintainable HTML using graphical mockups and screenshots provided by User Interface Designers.
2、 Optimizing and refactoring Lithium's existing user interface components, continuously refining existing functionality to enhance robustness, maintainability, performance, and flexibility.
3、 Designing and implementing enhancements to Lithium's core user interface, including the introduction of AJAX components, CSS, and semantically rich HTML.
4、 Consulting with Lithium's North American team by e-mail and teleconference.
5、 Ability to also be a User Interface Designer is a big plus, but is not a requirement.
Ideal skill sets for senior Web user interface engineers include:
1、 A master's degree from a top engineering or media school.
2、 At least two to three years' experience in engineering of Web user interfaces.
3、 Good written English and clear verbal English.
4、 A thorough understanding of the core Java/J2EE stack, particularly Servlets, and JSP, with an emphasis on writing clean, testable code.
5、 Knowledge of at least one MVC technology, such as Spring MVC or Struts.
6、 Knowledge of JavaScript/DHTML/AJAX technologies and the DOM.
7、 A mastery of HTML and CSS, with an emphasis on designing semantically meaningful pages and a good understanding of browser compatibility issues.
8、 Ability to code clean HTML pages using pure CSS, without the use of tables.
This position may involve occasional travel to the United States for training and knowledge transfer. |
